About Girl Power Carolinas
Girl Power Carolinas was founded to empower girls through flag football and create a fun, competitive pathway for athletic development.
Founder Logan Sandate played college soccer at Catawba College in North Carolina and overcame four ACL reconstruction surgeries—three before college—shaping her passion for athlete development and resilience. After college, Logan discovered flag football and fell in love with the game, inspiring her to create opportunities for girls to experience the same joy, confidence, and growth through sport. Flag football also provides an incredible way for girls to become multi-sport athletes while having fun.
With over six years of experience coaching and managing sports performance facilities, Logan has trained youth, collegiate, and professional athletes, including NFL linebacker D’Marco Jackson of the Chicago Bears.
Girl Power Carolinas is home to PRIME, our elite tournament team designed to develop high-level female flag football athletes. We are proud to already be helping athletes reach the next level, with multiple girls receiving college interest and offers. Our first official college offer went to Angie Rueda of Lees-McRae College, under USA National Team coach Mike Brown.
Today, Girl Power Carolinas hosts leagues, tournaments, and training programs for girls of all ages. Our mission is simple: build confident athletes, strong leaders, and a community where girls can thrive through flag football.
