GirlPower Carolinas

Our Mission

A Place Built for Girls

GirlPower Carolinas was founded to give girls an encouraging, competitive environment where they can learn and grow through flag football.

Our athletes develop football skills, confidence, resilience and meaningful friendships while being surrounded by coaches and teammates who believe in them.

From a first-time player learning the basics to an experienced athlete pursuing higher levels of competition, every girl deserves a place to play.

Founder Spotlight

Meet Logan Sandate

Founder, GirlPower Carolinas

Logan Sandate founded GirlPower Carolinas with a simple goal: create more opportunities for girls to learn football, compete with confidence and see a future for themselves in the sport.

With more than seven years of experience in sports performance and athlete development, Logan has worked across program development, team operations, athlete recruitment and the creation of pathways that help young athletes progress from youth sports into high school and collegiate opportunities.

Since launching GirlPower Carolinas in September 2025, the program has grown to serve more than 300 athletes across Mooresville and Fort Mill while creating recreational, developmental and competitive opportunities for girls at multiple levels of the game.

Logan’s vision for GirlPower Carolinas remains focused on creating an environment where every girl has a place to learn, compete, build confidence, form meaningful friendships and continue growing in the sport.

Why It Matters

Girls Encouraging Girls

What makes GirlPower Carolinas special is not only the sport. It is the confidence athletes develop, the friendships they form and the way they learn to support one another.

Players learn how to compete, respond to challenges, get back up and keep going. Those lessons extend far beyond the football field.

“We are teaching the girls more than the fundamentals of flag football. We are building confidence, resilience and community.”

More Than Football

Families see confidence, friendships and growth both on and off the field.

What makes this league so special is not just the sport—it is the empowerment. The girls learn to dig deep, get back up and keep going.

PRIME has helped my daughter grow as both an athlete and a young woman. The confidence and friendships she has gained mean so much.
