Great game days and great athlete experiences take more than coaches and players. Volunteers help GirlPower Carolinas create organized, welcoming and memorable opportunities for girls throughout Mooresville, Fort Mill and the Charlotte area.
You do not need to be a football expert to make a difference. There are roles for parents, community members, students, experienced coaches and anyone who wants to help.
Help Create a Better Experience for Every Athlete
Volunteers are part of what allows GirlPower Carolinas to keep game days organized, welcome new families, support coaches, create special events and give girls a positive place to compete.
Some volunteer roles happen every Sunday. Others may only be needed for a specific clinic, tournament or event. Tell us where you are comfortable helping and when you are available.
Volunteer Opportunities
Choose one area or several. Volunteer needs vary throughout the season, so we’ll match your interests and availability with opportunities as they come up.
Game Day Check-In
Welcome families, help athletes find their teams and fields, and answer basic game-day questions.
Field Coordinator
Help teams, coaches and officials stay organized and keep the day moving smoothly.
Scorekeeper / Timekeeper
Help track scores, game clocks and other simple game-day responsibilities.
Referee
Help officiate girls flag football games. Training may be required depending on the role and event.
Coach / Assistant Coach
Support athlete development, practices and game day. Coaching requirements may apply.
Equipment & Setup
Assist with fields, cones, tables, signage, equipment, setup and teardown.
Awards & Recognition
Help with weekly awards, athlete recognition, presentations and special moments.
Merchandise & Retail
Help families with GirlPower merchandise or event retail during selected events.
Photography & Video
Capture game-day, event and athlete moments for the GirlPower Carolinas community.
Clinics & Special Events
Support clinics, camps, tournaments and other GirlPower Carolinas special events.
Hospitality & Family Support
Help create a welcoming environment for families, guests, vendors and community partners.

Want to help but not sure where? We can match you with a role based on upcoming needs.
You Can Still Help
Many of our most important volunteer roles do not require football experience.
If you can greet families, stay organized, help with setup, keep score, assist with events or jump in where needed, there may be a role for you.
Some Roles Require Additional Steps
Roles involving coaching, officiating, regular athlete contact or other responsibilities may require training, screening or additional approval before assignment.
